Autobiographical contributions
[edit]Is it within Wikepedia's guidelines for the subject of entries to write them themselves? According to the history of this site Iain Overton has contributed to his own entry - which would appear to be self-promotion, and hardly objective? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.120.100 (talk) 15:25, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
- You're right. {{Connected contributor}} tag added above. -- Trevj (talk) 11:02, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- When did Iain Overton contribute to the entry on himself? I have to say I only visited it recently, after writing an entry on his involvement in the Newsnight/McAlpine affair. I was shocked to see how much it resembled a highly laudatory CV for Overton. DanHardie (talk) 04:43, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- As can be seen under the history at Iain Overton (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), the answer is that Iainoverton (talk · contribs) made some minor contributions to the article in 2005 and 2009.[1][2][3][4] There have also been numerous anonymous edits, which could have been made by anyone. -- Trevj (talk · contribs) 10:25, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
