Subject's surname
[edit]Is Armitage his legal surname or a stage name? If the former, why does he have his mother’s surname instead of his father’s? According to his father's article, his parents are married.HistoryBuff14 (talk) 03:02, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
armitage is his legal name. he took his mother’s last name, most likely due to his father changing his last name from middleton to morton and the static condition of his mom’s last name, which has not changed. it just makes it a little less complicated. Picture
[edit]I don't know when the provided picture was from, but it certainly wasn't 2020. Mustard, huh? (talk) 02:35, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- It was close: Armitage appeared with Fonda at the rally at the end of November 2019. Schazjmd (talk) 13:49, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
The "Personal Life" tab, is it relevant?
[edit]Considering that, to be honest, Iain is not fluent in any of these languages and does not truly speak all of them, like, saying some words in different languages doesn’t make you a fluent (?). Somehow I think that he is too young to have the “Personal Life” tab. Another thing I would like to discuss is his full name from birth, "Iain Marshall Armitage," which is something we should add (?). BrombergTOW (talk) 06:46, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that the languages aren't very important for the article -- although, it's worded accurately -- "Armitage has learned to speak multiple languages to different extents." It doesn't claim fluency.
- Perhaps Personal life and Career could be consolidated into a single section. I agree that the current formatting is not great. As for his middle name, adding it may be tough as it'd need to be widely published by reliable sources {{WP:DOB}} and {{WP:BLPPRIVACY}}. Tvfunhouse (talk) 07:11, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
