Lead
[edit]"I Want You" (stylized in all uppercase) is a song recorded by the Filipino boy band SB19, taken from their second extended play (EP), Pagtatag!, which was released on June 9, 2023, via Sony Music Philippines.
This seems a lot for the first sentence, it should probably be reworded. I also suggest replacing "via" with "by" since it somewhat contradicts the info elaborated in "Background and release"- Done: Split into two sentences; the release part is now at the end of the lead paragraph, let me know if that is okay. I will take note "via"/"by" in the future.
- The image and infobox looks good
Reviews from music critics applauded the boy band's ability to cross genres
appears to be pretty reasonable for the reviews
Background and release
[edit]SB19 and record producer August Rigo
Include "the" before "record producer"- Done
- Spotcheck on "Sony Music Philippines released the EP on June 9, 2023" – no issues
Composition and lyrics
[edit]"I Want You" is three minutes and 43 seconds long.
This should be written in numbers or spelled out as per MOS:NUMNOTES- Done: Fully spelled out
The song was written by the song's producer, August Rigo, and the band's leader, Pablo.
Repetition of "The song" in close proximity.- Done: Replaced the first "The song" with "It"
- Spot check on two critics of Nylon Manila describing the track as "sensually-themed" — The quote does not seem to appear on both articles
- Partially removed: Removed "themed" in "sensually-themed"; the "sensual" part is mentioned in both articles
Critical reception
[edit]The song was met with positive reviews from music critics.
seems reasonable for the critical consensus- Spotcheck on "Rafael Bautista considered the song an "immersive track" and noted how the song showcased the boy band's raw passion and emotions" — no issues
- Spotcheck on "The song was nominated for the Wishclusive R&B Performance of the Year award at the Wish 107.5 Music Awards 2024." — no issues
Promotion
[edit]- The image looks good!
- Spotcheck on "The boy band first performed the song on the noontime variety show ASAP Natin 'To on June 11, 2023" — no issues
Credits and personnel
[edit]- No issues.
References
[edit]- The copyvio score looks great at 18%!
- All of the references looks good
Abacusada, I have finished the review and overall the article looks great. I think it just need some copyediting and tweaks to be listed to GA status. Gained (talk) 11:03, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
