Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Replace hlist with bullet points per Template:Infobox song
  • Pipe Jackson, New Jersey to Jackson Township, New Jersey
  • After stating the song is by Willa Ford, mention it is "from her first studio album, Willa Was Here (2001)."
  • The part about Royce da 5'9" should be the second sentence of the lead instead
  • "who also produced the track," → "who both handled the production,"
  • Remove "21 years at the time" because that's a bit excessive for the lead
  • "refused, decided to create" → "refused, deciding to create"
  • "and included it on Ford's first album," → "and went forward with release." per the body
  • "The single version of the track features" → "The song features a guest appearance from"
  • Remove pipe on rapper
  • The single release sentence should come directly after the Jason Flom one
  • ""I Wanna Be Bad" had Ford explaining" → "it has Ford explaining"
  • The part about going against influences does not appear to be sourced
  • "as Ford's debut single on April 24, 2001." → "as Ford's debut single and the lead one from the album on April 24, 2001." with the pipe
  • Billboard Hot 100 should be wikilinked to itself, then pipe Billboard to the magazine's article on the second mention here
  • "the single reached number 22" → "it reached number 22"
  • "The track also charted in" → "The song also charted in"
  • "has embraced the song and" → "has embraced it and" plus this should be the last sentence of the para instead
  • Wikilink music video
  • "by Chris Applebaum where" → "by Chris Applebaum, where"

Background and content

[edit]

Release and promotion

[edit]
  • Wikilink music video on the img text
  • Add the word stations at the end of the radio sentence
  • "appreciating its divergence" → "appreciating the divergence"
  • Amazon source does not display May 22 release date, unless I missed something?
  • Pipe Maxi-CD to CD maxi per MOS:LINK2SECT
  • "on Ford's debut album," → "on Ford's debut studio album"
  • "criticizing Ford and her split from Carter." → "criticizing her and the breakup."
  • Wikilink music video
  • Where does [1] mention the cop(s) being in the backseat?
    • Hmm. I'm not sure how to reword this without causing confusion (e.g. if she kidnapped the officers, why couldn't they physically stop her if they were in the car with her?), so I'm going to source the timestamp for this one. At 2:42, you can see the officers in the backseat. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 12:47, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add some more info to prose about the video other than a summary, like the doughnut incident
  • Wikilink airplay
  • Should the hyperlink sentence start with on Willa Was Here or in the booklet of Willa Was Here?
  • "in an ad campaign" → "in an advertising campaign"

Reception and legacy

[edit]
  • "by comparison" is not needed after the modest part since that is implied
  • "noted that it was the only track on the album that was" → "noted how it is the only track on the album that is"
  • Remove the 2017 Billboard interview context since you have already introduced this interview earlier on
  • Remove double speech marks around honest because this is an encyclopedic term

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • Pipe Billboard Hot 100 to Billboard Hot 100
  • "rose to its peak" → "rose to a peak"
  • "The song was a" → "It was a"
  • Add an as of date for the 250,000 copies
  • "Worldwide, "I Wanna Be Bad"" → "Elsewhere, "I Wanna Be Bad"" and identify the ARIA Singles Chart after the position

Track listings

[edit]
  • Wikilink Mike Rizzo
  • If the Australian CD uses Rizzo's full name too, then change to this because it is a separate track listing from the previous

References

[edit]
  • Copyvio score looks superb at 13.0%!!!
  • I don't see a real team on Gazette Review's about page or anything else that indicates reliability, so what makes ref 7 a usable source?
    • I don't recall seeing it listed on WP:RSP, but the "About Us" subsection established enough credibility for me since it's a legitimate job site and not a user-generated site where anyone can log in and edit, so I'd assume a site like this has editorial oversight. Willa's name is misspelled as "Will" a few times, but I've made that mistake several times before as, so I'm not sure what to think about this. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 13:35, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have my doubts about findarticles.com being a reliable source for ref 8, or can you justify it?
    • It looks like a reposting of an August 2001 article from Girls Life magazine. I've checked several archives but couldn't find the original piece, so I added the original work to the citation and moved findarticles.com to a via parameter. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 13:35, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • WP:OVERLINK of Radio & Records on ref 10
  • Remove or replace ref 25 since anyone can edit AllMusic listings, making it unreliable for charts
  • Fix MOS:QWQ issues with ref 28

Final comments and verdict

[edit]
  • ResolutionsPerMinute Thanks for a quick and dedicated response; I have struck out any disagreements we had where a compromise was able to be reached! I am fine with ref 8 now you've explained findarticles.com is really a via domain, however anyone can send in a form for Gazette Reviews, meaning writers aren't necessarily professional, and RSP even says just because a source is not listed there doesn't mean it's reliable... anything else to justify this source's reliability? Regarding the as of date request, maybe 2007 would work because the archive says copyright 2007 at the bottom? --K. Peake 22:00, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Kyle Peake: Okay, I've changed the year and removed the Gazette Review along with any information that was stated in it. Not a lot, thankfully. It looks like I'm all done here, but please point out if I missed something. And thank you for taking the time to review this article. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 22:25, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Icon

[edit]

I've noticed that in a Hollywood Reporter icon she is described as an icon, but i feel like that's a really vague term that seems to mean nothing. She had one song that cracked a hit? I know it means things to certain generation and audience but the term "icon" seems so vague and isn't explained I don't feel like it warrants being here without some further detail as it feels a bit MOS:PEACOCK-ish to me.
