First Canadian Army

[edit]

It says, on the First Canadian Army page that the British I Corps was attached to the First Canadian Army. Can somebody either confirm this, and add it to this page, or dispel this fact and take it off the First Canadian Army page. Climie.ca 18:32, 1 May 2007 (UTC) Cam

Yes, British I Corps was subordinated to the Canadian First Army during operations in NW Europe until 1 April 1945. After Canadian I Corps arrived from Italy, it joined the Canadian First Army and British I Corps was used to administer the logistics area of 21st Army Group. --W. B. Mobilization scheme 1876

[edit]

I seems like the order of battles for the various MS 1876 corps sould be combined into one page for ease of access. 107.220.180.252 (talk) 17:17, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in I Corps (United Kingdom)

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of I Corps (United Kingdom)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "IWM":

  • From 4th Infantry Division (United Kingdom): "Uniforms and Insignia – badge, formation, 4th Infantry Division (Show more)". Imperial War Museum. Retrieved 19 April 2017.
     • "Uniforms and Insignia – badge, formation, 4th Infantry Division (Show more)". Imperial War Museum. Retrieved 28 June 2023.
  • From Victoria Cross: "The Victoria Cross". Imperial War Museum. Archived from the original on 15 June 2011. Retrieved 22 April 2015.
  • From 1st (United Kingdom) Division: "Badge, formation, 1st Infantry Division & 2nd Infantry Brigade". Imperial War Museum. Retrieved 17 December 2022.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT 12:18, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Missing refs

[edit]

@Buckshot06: Your edit added references but the full citations are missing; specifically IWM, DeVore, and Kneen & Sutton. —GoldRingChip 16:14, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Understand; many thanks. Buckshot06 (talk) 11:46, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou DuncanHill for doing the reference addition that I should have done. Buckshot06 (talk) 18:55, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
