I really don't get where you're coming from with this proposal to delete. A movie that has won awards and everything, and you just want to zap the article? Seems unduly harsh!

If by chance we hadn't gotten it from Netflix and watched it just the other night, I wouldn't have looked here in time to notice the ax being sharpened and then it would be too late. Please hold off on this. Johanna-Hypatia (talk) 03:13, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A quick search brings up a New York Times review, and Rotten Tomatoes gives us links to the Observer and other media outlets. This movie also seems to be mentioned quite a bit in AfterEllen, even giving it two "award" type recognition (1 award, 1 list of "Top 50 Lesbian Characters" - or something like that). Considering that AfterEllen was listed as one of the top 50 most powerful blogs by the Observer, as listed on its page, for its "irreverent look at how the lesbian community is represented in the media," that should count for something - right? 173.64.54.4 (talk) 15:54, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Right. Please fill in the information you discovered. Thanks! Johanna-Hypatia (talk) 14:53, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"A major contributor to this article"

[edit]

Can we get more info on the allegation that a "major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject"? I think it was placed by ConcernedVancouverite, but I don't see any discussion on the talk page, as there should be with this tag. Thanks. GetSomeUtah (talk) 20:44, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
