Speedy deletion

Neutrality
[edit]I'm nominating this article to be reviewed against WP:NPOV, as the article reads like it's straight out of some company literature. There also might be some issues associated with the company, which need better exploration and citation.
Chances are there's also some notability issues that need to be addressed, but dealing with NPOV should knock that on the head. Thewinchester (talk) 06:54, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
- I Yogi failed to deliver service. A message would appear on my screen saying "IYogi has encountered a problem and needs to close"...blah blah. After I upgraded my computer and software and installed new protection (IYogi not connected), I cancelled IYogi and was told by phone and email that some A$299 out of A$400 odd paid would be refunded. It never was despite several follow ups to which IYogi would reply "wait another ten days for the money to arrive in your account". It never did arrive. [edit]Just browsed to iyogi.com, I work for a US based firm that provides a similar bit of support, minus the insane upsells. Which is amazing. but uh, iyogi's website is up, and appears to still be available to purchase support from. Probably should be reflected in the article. Punkonjunk (talk) 15:38, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Portraying as Apple
[edit]When you call the number for this company they answer with, "Thank you for calling Apple. My name is..." They are NOT Apple. The Apple tech support number is 1.800.APL.CARE Looking at the iYogi numbers, not one of the is an Apple number. I work for iYogi and would request the new updates made by Pol098 to be edited to give a neutral view of the iYogi BBB page.
1. Please change the following line as the dates and corresponding information are incorrect "iYogi has been registered with the New York, US Better Business Bureau (BBB) since 17 September 2012". The correct information would be:
"iYogi has been registered with the New York, US Better Business Bureau (BBB) since 15 October 2007 and has been accredited with A rating since 17 September 2012". 2. Please change the interpretation of the complaint count as the information presented currently is not accurate. Pol098 has written: As of 17 July 2015 the site listed "356 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 142 closed in last 12 months". Of these 129 were logged as resolved to the consumer's satisfaction, and 227 not so logged.
While in truth this information should be written as: "As of 17 July 2015 the site listed "356 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 142 closed in last 12 months". Of these 129 were closed as resolved to the consumer's satisfaction, and 227 were closed after the business replied with resolution confirmation but no final reply was received from the consumer or the consumer remained dissatisfied with the resolution offered."

- Complaints to the BBB are user generated source material (as are Crunchbase and forums) and should not be used. OTOH, there are cases where secondary sources like the press mention the number of complaints to the BBB and in those cases they can be included using those sources. Hello, I am requesting a Wiki editor to kindly edit this page to give it a better flow for the information. Most of the information is the same but I am requesting that they be headlined correctly. Some information which has not been mentioned (and I feel should be mentioned here to give complete information regarding the company) has been added.
Under History I am requesting the creation of a sub heading by the name of Funding. I've added the beginning introductory line and taken teh rest from already existing content and citations.
Funding iYogi has raised $85.6 million from 7 investors in 5 rounds. In 2010, iYogi raised US$30 million in Series D round of funding led by Sequoia Capital [14] with follow-on investment from existing investors. Earlier in the same year, the company had secured investment of $15 million from Draper Fisher Jurvetson and others.[15] In July 2014 the Axon Partners and Madison India Capital invested $28 million into the company.[16]
Requesting addition of a new section named, and removal of the first two paragraphs from the other part of the page.
Acquisitions & Partnerships In 2009 iYogi acquired Utah-based Clean Machine Inc.[11][12] and appointed its founder, Larry Gordon, as President Global Channel Sales.[13] In 2010, IBM signed a data center agreement with iYogi and followed it up with another partnership aimed at supporting the tech support firm’s expansion plans in several countries. In 2013 iYogi diversified into software licensing for companies provide consumer services when they launched Digital Service Cloud [3]. Their clients are Telephonica[4], Toshiba & Spectranet [5]. In 2013 iYogi also brought into the market TechGenie, which they claim to be a comprehensive security and optimization software for Windows users. In 2015 their Digital Service Cloud product was further diversified into an open IoT platform to assist innovators in this space to move forward without having to worry about back-end creation and management[6].

Recent comments on unreliable sources and edit by DGG
[edit]DGG recently deleted a lot of material on the grounds that it was unreliably sourced, and kindly notified me on my Talk page, as I have edited this page in the past. I will respond here, as I think it's of general interest to the article. (The edits have since been reverted—not my doing—but the points DGG makes are valid and relevant. My comments apply to the article as edited by DGG, not the current version, as DGG's concerns need to be addressed)
I agree with most of DGG's changes, and the intention to include only reliably sourced material. I'll make some comments on details, but we are working to the same end.
- "iYogi's business in New York, USA started in March 2007." This was tagged [citation needed], but it is reliably sourced by the BBB Web site (not in possibly contentious customer complaints section). Most material from the BBB site, and the reference were deleted on the grounds that the customer complaints are not a reliable source. The BBB site reliably source the statement above. Personally I consider that complaints to the BBB, with responses by iYogi, are suitable for inclusion; they are not irresponsible moans on a forum, but formal complaints made to obtain redress. Others may wish to comment further.
- Material sourced by http://www.crunchbase.com/company/iyogi and http://www.indusbusinessjournal.com was deleted. Possibly these could be considered reliable? I simply mention this, and have no opinion (I haven't even looked)
- Management names are all sourced by the iYogi Web site, reliable for this sort of information. Headquarters too, I think
All of the material in the "false advertising" paragraph (including quoted allegations) are in the main source given, Burton et al v. iYogi, Inc., Case No. 13-cv-6926, S. D. NY. The truthinadvertising site summarises this information, which doesn't have to be dug out of a huge document. All the material is in the reliable source; possibly further references to this same source could be added, instead of allowing an earlier reference to apply to the whole paragraph. I say this because "[better source needed]" was appended,
I think that the recent complaint by Nuance about iYogi is relevant and well-sourced; it is a company Web site advising its users, not a blog.
I'm not going to make edits for the moment, as they'll probably interfere with other editors.
