Hello world
[edit]Hello world in ISWIM is Print `Hello world'
I don't understand how this is meant to work in a purely-functional language before Haskell and the IO monad. If someone finds a reference, it is very interesting. --TuukkaH 11:58, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
The J operator
[edit]I read the 700 next Programming Languages and I did not find any reference to the J operator as well as to assignments. --PIerre.Lescanne (talk) 08:56, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
On page 159, look for the **pp** operator, which introduces a program-point definition. That's what the Wiki page is describing as the J operator. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.183.136.7 (talk) 21:20, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
