CD
[edit]What is a CD? I'm assuming that, in this context, it is not a Compact Disc. Jon Harald Søby 17:50, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

- I haven't started the list of ISO 639-5 codes because I haven't solved the aforementioned problems -- the two bugs in the 2006 draft. See http://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Sl/wiki/temto&oldid=8771278 for the 2006 draft, compiled by me. --✉ Hello World! 08:36, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]ISO 639 JAC has confirmed that car
remains as a single Carib language in accordance with 639-2, opposing to Carib languages as in 639-5. -✉ Hello World! 16:56, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- So ISO 639:car is not in part 5 anymore? What about ISO 639:xmn and ISO 639:zhn? TalkChat (talk) 20:15, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Aaaa, thanks, I see the templates that produce the list of ISO 639-5 codes are updated. Thanks a lot Sl! TalkChat (talk) 20:58, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- More clarification is needed for ISO 639:car. ISO 639 JAC has only published one sentence about it. -✉ Hello World! 06:16, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Copy edit
[edit]Completed a copy-edit on the page. Integrated the abbreviations with the article, eliminating jargon. Updated reference citation style. Adjusted section headers to comply with Manual of Style recommendations. Removed what appeared to be link spam reference to a third party that offers a similar but incompatible technique for grouping languages by four-letter codes; that information didn't seem relevant to the ISO standard. Reorganized the example of groups and codes into a table. The article still needs inline references, and at least one link is broken. Macwhiz (talk) 18:23, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
After unsuccessfully searching for another source for the 2006 draft still available online, I removed the dead link to it. The standard is now official and published in 2008, so the draft is likely inaccurate anyway. Mojoworker (talk) 18:00, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
