What is the meaning of, is? How do you describe the word is?

who care

[edit]

Do you mean cares? Um, the previous poster, I'd guess. As for is, well, tell me if I need to clarify, elaborate, or what have you.(I added the "two letter combo" bit)TLM 01/29/06

This is a disambiguation page to aid readers in finding which of several articles for which they might have been searching when they type is into the search bar. It is appropriate to include a few words describing each target, but any in-depth discussion should be relegated to the actual articles. Please explain why it might be appropriate to reference a political controversy in the US last decade. - Eldereft (cont.) 17:15, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do these belong here?

[edit]

Just wondering why the following 4 entries are on this disambiguation page.

1) Does "IS" (or "Is" or "is") represent the 'I formation' in American Football?? Is this ("IS") a code or abbreviation for "I-formation"??
2) When is the Roman numeral "I" (one) represented as "IS" or "Is"?
3) "...'Selves' known by the pronoun 'I'..." what does that mean? Could it ("Is") be referring to the plural of "I" when referring to multiple "selves"??
4) Does "IS" represent "incomplete" in American grading???

Much of my confusion could be due to my ignorance of the subjects in question (it wouldn't be the first time...). Items 1,2 and 4 above seem to refer to "I" more than to "IS." But perhaps someone with more knowledge can provide feedback on if / how these topics should be listed on this IS / Is disambuiguation page. Pugetbill (talk) 23:57, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
