Potentially incorrect data in article?
Under: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_camera#Potential_disadvantages_of_IP_cameras it states:
- Technical barrier. Installation for IP Camera required a series of complicated network setting including IP address, DDNS, router setting and port forwarding. This is very difficult for most users to do alone, without help from an IT technician. Ref: Technical Barrier for IP-based Video Products by StarVedia, April 10, 2009
- Lower dynamic range - i.e. reduced ability to cope with low light and high contrast scenes.
point 1: "complicated" is a matter of opinion, and also look at the reference - is this really a Wikipedia quality reference?
point 2: I can think of no reason why an IP camera would have a lower dynamic range and a "normal" digital camera - and there is also no reference for this claim as well --pc (talk) 16:53, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Addressed blatant Wiki violations
I've made edits today to address several violations of Wikipedia policies and guidelines in this article, most prominently POV and boosterish tone, uncited product-specification lists, citations comprised of company press releases making self-interested claims, etc. --Tenebrae (talk) 18:36, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
