Talk:IMO (internet slang)
Appearance
Many inititialisms have their own article at Wikipedia. They started as stubs that were little more than dictionary definitions, and were expanded with history and prevalence of use. Althought this article is still a stub, it can and will be exanded. PPdd (talk) 14:43, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- Until this can be proved to be anything more than a stub though, shouldn't it just redirect to List_of_acronyms_and_initialisms:_I#IM, with no prejudice against recreation once something can be actually added?--Yaksar (let's chat) 21:49, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- I was just about to redirect it as you suggested, copied "List_of_acronyms_and_initialisms:_I#IM" from your post to stick in the redirect, but then noticed while I was in the editing box that the article already has very slightly more content than that page, in that IMO is related to IMHO. I could put that on the List_of_acronyms_and_initialisms:_I#IM page, but I would likely get yelled at there for expanding info too much beyond just a list. PPdd (talk) 21:56, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- Considering that the list already has an entry for IMHO as well, I think you'd probably be fine. But if you want to add it, I don't think there'd be any resistance, but it can't hurt to try.--Yaksar (let's chat) 22:10, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- Looking at it further, the list page does actually seem to show the connection between the two, although in a way that uses much fewer words.--Yaksar (let's chat) 22:17, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
