Controversies

[edit]
  • After struggling for almost decades, the Fast Breeder Test Reactor (FBTR) has become 'critical'. Of late, many talented engineers and scientists have resigned from IGCAR. This is not because of the lucrative pay, but because of the unbearable working culture. To quote an example, more than 10 engineers have left Structural Mechanics Section in the recent past in less than 2 years time, because of their inability to cope up with theirs boss. The attitude and working style of bosses drive away talented people from the Centre and many are looking for an opportunity to quit IGCAR.

  • my dear Srikanth,

do you want me to tell the names of the people who left igcar? there is a long list Srikanth. believe me, i am not washing dirty linen, i am only giving the facts and completely abide by the rules of wikipedia. you can ask anybody in the reactor engineering group about what i wrote. i am sure they will confess in private. please do not try to remove what i write. as i said, i will keep posting it again and i am not violating any wikipedia rules. if you want, i can give names, but i do not want to go on a personal attack. it would only embarass the management further if i start presenting facts and substantiate my claims.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Igcar.fan (talkcontribs)

    • My dear Igcar.fan

I strongly feel Wikipedia doesnt need that piece of information.Remember this is encyclopedia and not a place to mention half-truth/allegations on an organisation which do not have any material evidences.I will remove it as and when it is posted and the next time i will seek arbitration from administrators. • That is not meant to be a threat.I just dont want any unsolicitated material on Wikipedia and your thoughts were indeed not inline with wikipedia policy. You can always post your information with any material evidences to cite your claim. But no personal thoughts on wikipedia Srikanth \talk \contribs 02:59, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guys, do not fight. IGCAR.fan is indeed washing all the dirty linen in public and is not good for the image of IGCAR. The engineers and scientists are doing a great job here.

Propose move to Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research

[edit]

The article should be located at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research because the abbreviation would be nearly unrecognisable outside India. For precedent Bhabha Atomic Research Centre is not located at BARC and Indian Space Research Organisation is not located at ISRO. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andy anno (talkcontribs) 18:08, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
