Article Revamp
[edit]Hi. I'm bojo1498. With your help, I'd like to make this article as great as it deserves to be. I have already made big changes, but I would love your help. If you have any questions feel free to talk to me on my talk page. My first question for anyone out there who has an opinion is what to do about the "Future Developments" section. It's a nice concept, but prone to becoming outdated, as well as looking very promotional compared to most encyclopedic articles. Any thoughts? Thanks! --bojo1498 talk 22:12, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
There is nothing in this article about security and privacy. Hopefully the project does have provisions for these issues? --Zvmphile (talk) 23:24, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Recipes
[edit]The current recipes section under Features should be renamed IF Recipes and a new section should be added called DO Recipes.

Zapier
[edit]"Zapier is a possible alternative to IFTTT." - this looks like a stealthy spam to me. --David G (talk) 01:15, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
Fixed low-quality translation from Portuguese
[edit]The last paragraph of the History section was quite hard to understand and had some grammatical errors. After visiting the article linked in the citation, I realised that the paragraph in question was just a low-quality automated translation from Portuguese, so I have edited the paragraph for clarity. --Mastazi (talk) 03:20, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
"Free" vs. "Freeware"
[edit]"If This Then That, also known as IFTTT, is a free web-based service". Should the word "free" be changed to say "freeware"? IFTTT is not free software in the sense of freedom, so to avoid confusion I think it should be changed to say freeware, which gets the correct point across. Reads a bit like an advertisement
[edit]Or an informercial, maybe. Anyone else feel this way? Maybe I'm just too wary of the corporate world. Matt.syl (talk) 02:10, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- i agree that this article reads like an advertisement. there are very few specifics about what it is and very few links to other topics further describing it. the verbiage doesnt seem like an encyclopedic description; most of this article is discussing hypothetical integration with branded products, and reads like a sales pitch. 76.14.233.30 (talk) 01:21, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Helped I and other editors have made some changes to the article in the last few months and I am wondering if the consensus is that it still reads like this. - Mullafacation {talk page|user page} 15:39, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think this article reads like an advertisement anymore. I'm in favour of removing the template message at the top of the page. Pymaxio (talk) 18:59, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- I agree; I've removed the template. Ligaturama (talk) 10:53, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
