Excessive detail
[edit]I'm skeptical that it makes sense to go into as much detail as this article does, especially if the curriculum changes from year to year. Any opinions? Tim Pierce (talk) 12:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Tim, I agree with you, there's a bit too much detail here (though I should point out that the curriculum doesn't usually change year to year; instead, there is a scheduled 6-year review cycle for all courses). Maybe we can get someone in here to tidy things up a bit. Regards, CinchBug | Talk 16:54, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- It wouldn't be so bad, but the amount of detail is inconsistent, for example, there is a complete list of all the subjects studied within chemistry and biology, but nothing on physics, etc, and there is a lot more information that other IB subjects. Perhaps if somebody filled in the gaps, and improved consistency, it would improve the article. curt ツ 22:10, 8 June 2010 (UTC) Curt Molloy
Removal of links
[edit]I removed some inappropriate links, namely:
For further information or if you believe I am mistaken, please see the discussion at Talk:IB_Diploma_Programme on 2 July 2009. I'll return at some point to help provide solid citations from legitimate sources. Regards, CinchBug | Talk 22:52, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Assessment
[edit]I've tried to address the "Multiple issues" flagged on this page for a long time. The only thing I'm still concerned about is the detail in the "Structure and Assessment" section. I'm not involved in the IB and can't find this stuff on their open website - so I wonder if it's appropriate and invariant. Could someone with better knowledge take a look at the section and make changes?
I'm also trying to add something on Design Technology to fill that gap, but I've only found things on secondary sites. It's a relatively new course but it's surprising not to find much more. Is what I've added representative? Chris55 (talk) 10:56, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
