Price
[edit]The pricing listed as $280K for a 2250 seems high. This seems calculated from the "max" column of the reference rather than the mean. My own experience is that they were anecdotally around $125K in 1973, and the 3250 replacement was around $150K in 1979 (per an IBM salesman). $125K is consistent with using the "mean" column in the reference, and is still close to $1M in 2012 dollars.
Vacuum tubes?
[edit]It was released in 1964. Did its display unit use any vacuum tubes other than CRT itself (deflection, amplification, etc), like TV most sets did then?
