The need for what may seem like extra info

Since the IBM 1800 and 1130 were in many ways so similar, and the 1130 used the 1403 while, according to info from that half-a-century ago era, the 1800 used the 1443, and the model numbers look so similar -- 1403, 1443 -- context is needed. Pi314m (talk) 09:17, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removing "Technology" section

The "Technology" section describes the tabulator-style typebar printing, with one vertical typebar per column. The 1443 uses a single horizontal typebar, which is completely different (see [1]). There isn't anything to salvage in the Technology section, so I'm removing it. KenShirriff (talk) 01:31, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
