This article is kinda messy
Perhaps someone should make an attempt to incorporate all of that information in the "Songs" section into the main article? As a bulletted list, it really just clutters up the article. wilhelm 20:36, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- Somewhat, I agree. There should also be mention of the existence of the documentary that bears this same title - http://www.videodetective.com/trailer-preview.asp?customerid=97135&publishedid=632711. 75.2.40.230 21:24, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- I also agree. And it may be noted that "Tower of Song" has also been recorded by The Jesus and Mary Chain in their album "Sound of Speed". --Josie dethiers 11:40, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
I started to list tracks for the tribut film by the same title as the album.--mmunroe 07:14, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Folk-Rock?
How exactly can the synthesizer and drum-machine based style of this album could possibly be considered folk rock?
Jack Chimney (talk) 23:00, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
It's not, it should be changed. Just because someone does a bunch of folk/folkish albums doesn't make everything they do folk or folk-rock. See Bob Dylan's many albums and genre descriptions here on wikipedia for how it should be done (Particularly Street Legal through Oh Mercy, with its clear split from folk/blues as a main influece). Not to knock this album or anything, I am just starting to get into Cohen's 80's stuff and beyond, but it's clearly not in the folk tradition as his earlier stuff was, this album even less so then the previous one, Various Positions. Pop would fit the genre much better
Remastered version?
Is the current CD edition remastered, as is the case for most of L.C.'s pre-1990 albums? --109.193.211.159 (talk) 09:06, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
