Kia Soul

[edit]

The Kia Soul did not utilize the 1.6L Beta II, but instead the newer 1.6L Gamma engine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.83.118.193 (talk) 23:53, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction of the 1.6L Alpha II.

[edit]

If I'm reading it correctly, the article states that the 1.6L Alpha II was introduced in 2005. I have a 2004 Accent with the 1.6L Alpha II, and Hyundai's service website shows the 1.6L engine in Accents as far back as 2000. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.168.114.165 (talk) 02:28, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have a 2000 model X3 Excel/Accent that has the 1.6 Alpha. IIRC they started putting them in Accents in 1998. 125.253.101.196 (talk) 19:01, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have a Hyundai Coupe FX II ("Tiburon Turbulence") purchased new in July 2001. The inspection card reads: This is a 1.6 DOHC G4ED and is previous to 2005. Missing Engine Code

[edit]

Hi. I have a Getz with a G4EA engine. It has the same specs as the G4EH engine (1.3 SOHC), but it's not listed here. Should this engine code be listed alongside the G4EH? What are the differences? I've also noticed something similar with the Beta Engines. I've seen mention of a "G4GB Beta 2 1.8" but this isn't listed in the Beta engine article either.
