Company location
[edit]All that talk, and it's completely not obvious where their office is headquartered. So where is their office? LA? Also, as it stands, their website couldn't be more useless in this regard. --Hyperforin (talk) 21:15, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- Here's a slight bit of help. Boot up Google Earth and do a search for Hyperloop One. It'll yield two sites, one in LA and a test site Northeast of Las Vegas, next to a solar power farm. The pointer for the LA site is on a largish building with a white roof; but adjacent to that building's Northeast corner is (in the image dated 2/2/2016) a small, fenced-in region with what look like sections of steel tube having diameters of about 3.5-meters. The tubes look like the ones shown in the Team photo on the Company's website. The Nevada test site also has a number of tubes with the same diameters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.223.130.32 (talk) 01:33, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
Hyperloop One is in serious difficulties,, according to Wired
[edit]According to this long-form journalism piece by Wired magazine, [1], Hyperloop One is in serious difficulties. Infighting, changes in senior management, investors getting cold feet, and a US$250 million lawsuit. The article would be improved by reflecting some of this reality. Cheers. Prior Art. He didn't invent vacuum tubes
[edit]So Elon Musk now says he invented the vacuum tube which has been in every Science Fiction movie and has been considered by many other inventors and scientists. Laughable. I guess he invented the electric car too. What a genius.--2605:6000:3D11:3200:5C02:AB53:9193:C293 (talk) 00:03, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- Where does the article say that Musk invented vacuum tubes (I assume you really mean vactrain)? I don't see that anywhere in the article. Stepho talk 21:00, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Move request
[edit]The company has changed its name to Virgin Hyperloop, and has dropped the 'One'. I was thinking of moving this to Virgin Hyperloop. - TheodoreIndiana (talk) 14:25, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
XP-2
[edit]I added some additional photos of XP-2. The exhibition where it's displayed until July calls it Pegasus as do some articles I glanced at, so I wasn't sure what the more common name is. If someone wants to take a look and correct anything, I'd appreciate it. APK whisper in my ear 04:40, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
