"Idumoyasugibushi?"

Izumo

This is the old name for (part of) Shimane, not Iwate. Need to work out which was famous for its iron industry... Imaginatorium (talk) 04:51, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can't speak to Shimane, but Iwate was, and still is, famous for its ironworks. See also https://iwachu.co.jp/about/ (in Japanese), a page on the website of an iron foundry in Morioka. According to them, Morioka has been known for its cast iron since at least the Edo period. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │^{Tala við mig} 23:12, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
