If anyone knows what "bromacetyl urea" and "alcoholic ammonia" are called these days, I'd love to hear it. Oh, and I'd love to know how it's made in modern times.Rmky87 01:23, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
- "Alcholic ammonia" varies from use to use. Like the name implies, it's typically a mixture of ethanol or methanol with a smaller amount of ammonia. I've seen ranges of 70-80% alcohol and 5% of a 20-30% ammonia solution with the remainder being water. I'm still trying to track down "bromacetylurea" - finding info on acetylurea is simple enough, but nothing on the structure of the brominated derivative. dil 17:39, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
