References

[edit]

Medical articles on Wikipedia must be cited by the best available evidence and written in a consistent format. We typically use review articles. A list of resources to help edit such articles can be found here. The edit box has a build in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN, additionally, the diberri tool will aid in the formatting of references; all one needs to do is cut and paste the results. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Cheers. There are many medical claims in this article that are not sourced to WP:MEDRS-compliant sources. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:24, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

With the exception of one journal article, this article is sourced to the lay press. And most of the content of the Nature journal article is excluded, resulting in POV. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:19, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The journal source (a primary study, on a very small sample) is:
  • Barbuto JA, Ensina LF, Neves AR; et al. (2004). "Dendritic cell-tumor cell hybrid vaccination for metastatic cancer". Cancer Immunol. Immunother. 53 (12): 1111–8. doi:10.1007/s00262-004-0551-7. PMID 15185011. {{cite journal}}: Explicit use of et al. in: |author= (help); Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)CS1 maint: multiple names: authors list (link) Please see the {{cite journal}} template for how to use the laysource parameter to include media reports of journal studies. At any rate, unless the problems with this kind of "cancer vaccine approval" outside of the US from the Nature article are also mentioned, the article is still POV. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:41, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Studies" are mentioned without describing them. Any Phase 3 trials, or just all small sample, preliminary studies? What kinds of controls, etc? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:49, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
