Text and/or other creative content from this version of Hyannis station (CCCR) was copied or moved into Hyannis Transportation Center with this edit on April 20, 2019. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

Proposed name changes

I would like to propose the following name changes. The changes listed, which I believe are in line with WP:USSTATION, would clean up the small mess that exists today with the various Hyannis railroad station articles. Here is what I propose:
- Change the name of Hyannis Railroad Station to "Hyannis station (Cape Cod Central Railroad)"
- Change Old Hyannis Railroad Station to "Hyannis station (New Haven Railroad)"
- No change for Hyannis Transportation Center
- Creation of a Disambiguation page named "Hyannis station" with links to the articles noted above.

Support: this appears to be the best way to deal with the tangle. (CCCR) and (NYNH&H) are the more standard parentheticals, though - may want to use those. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:27, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Side note: I've merged the 1953-1964 station into this article - there just wasn't enough independent history to justify a separate article. I'm about to also merge it with the HTC article; except for the separate ticketing areas, they essentially act as a single station, and that allows the full history to be in one place.
