Friendship Cities

[edit]

I just changed sister cities to friendship cities, I am not sure if that was right or not. Apparently it is just a sister city with less regular exchange(?). The Hyuga City website says "friendship cities". The source is from Hyuga's website, but looking at Weifang's website, they don't list Hyuga among their sister cities... I am looking into it.

Shopping

[edit]

Is this actually needed? It seems better for wiki travel than wikipedia. Macnar28 (talk) 00:24, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If it's covered in reliable sources, there is no reason to not include some information like this. We can also include an external link to Wikitravel if there is a page for this location. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 18:48, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

City timeline

Looking at Ikata as an inspiration, I made this. Is it worth adding?

I think it would work great in the history section. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 01:22, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. I agree that it would be useful to add to the History section. It might make it clearer if the columns were conjoined, for example, so that "Togo Village" extends across six columns . --DAJF (talk) 02:16, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed it. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 04:25, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding Demographics

[edit]
Hello! So how about something like this in Demographics? Are my citations ok?

Hyuga is a small city with a total population of 63,011 persons, 30,150 males and 32,861 females, as of November 2015. The over all area is 336.29 km2 giving a general population density of 188 persons per km2. However, about 77.8% of the land is mountainous and forested. Much of the remaining land is used for farming or industry leaving about 4% of the total land area inhabitable [1] ; this puts the defacto population density in inhabitable areas at about 851 persons per km2. Hyuga's primary population centers are the Zaikoji and Hichiya regions of centeral Hyuga City which house over 60% of the city's overall population. [2] [3]

Overall, Hyuga is primarily a very homogenous city with 99.6% of the population Japanese and a mere 0.4% of the population of foreign descent as of 2010.[3] The majority of the foreigners in Hyuga are temporary fishermen, factory workers, or teachers.

Citation

[edit]

Hello! Is there anything else on the Hyuga page that needs citation, or can I take down the "citation needed" banner? Macnar28 (talk) 00:28, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done: I have removed the maintenance tag at the top of the page now that the information appears well sourced. Thanks for adding details and reference sources. --DAJF (talk) 07:55, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hurray! Thank you. Macnar28 (talk) 05:17, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
