History of Hwang Kee
[edit]This would be a great place to discuss his history.
Some interesting items follow...
Worked at the (Jo Yang Chun / Yang Jeng-Kou / Chao Yang Ch’uan) Railway Station in Manchuria
Chinese instructor was (Yang Kuk Jin / Young Jen Kou / Yang Zhen-Gou / Yang Jeng-Kou)
From Yang Kuk Jin, he studied (Yang Ryu Tae Keuk Kwon /Tae Geuk Kwon / Grand Supreme Fist / Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan) and (Dahm Doi Ship Ee Ro / 12 Sprining Legs / Dham Doi Sip E Ro / Shaolin Tan Tui Shi Er Bu / The 12 Step Springing Legs of the Pine Forrest Temple)
His friend Park Hyo Pil studied alongside him.
Much of this information can be verified here User5802 04:26, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Chinese instructor information
[edit]His instructor has been said to be Yang Zhen-Gou. Could this be Yang_Ch'eng-fu? Would be about the right age. Hwang Kee had said Yang Kuk Jin was about 50 years old when he studied with him in 1936. Yang_Ch'eng-fu was born in 1883. Not sure if Yang_Ch'eng-fu lived near the chaoyang railway station in manchuria around 1936... User5802 04:57, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Couldn't have been Yang_Ch'eng-fu, he died in 1936. User5802 05:42, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Re-Working
[edit]There are essentially four articles often saying the same things to the point it is very difficult to tell one from the other and why there are the four articles. Hwang Kee is the central figure and has his own page - some of his history in each page seems ok but not an expanded version in each of Moo Duk Kwan, Tang Soo Do and Soo Bahk Do. It should be clearer what separates each of the styles from each other - my feeling is that they should all be merged into one. Frankly if you remove the Biography and Belt color information you have very little left.Peter Rehse (talk) 07:41, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
