- Throughout the article, it varies on which units of measure are abbreviated, especially inches. Please fix it so there is either one or the other and not both.
- Fixed. Hope I don't have to abbreviate Miles Lawrence :P --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- There are several terms that are over-linked throughout the article, such as "Florida", "Newfoundland", "National Hurricane Center", "Extratropical cyclone", and "Bermuda".
- Alright, I left some where were in the lede and in the body of the article, but I removed a lot. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- "after the convection decreased hear the center." - Typo
- Well, that's just absolutely embarrassing on my part. :P --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- You should add more impact in Canada toward the end of the second paragraph of the lead. All that is there right now is: "The storm produced record rainfall that caused what was described the "worst flooding in 100 years" in St. John's. Several roads and houses were flooded in the region." Why not add some other statistics like that the storm caused several million dollars in damage and/or the 15 closed schools and 45 businesses affected?
- Because the millions of dollars isn't exact, and the bit about schools and businesses is pretty trivial. Schools close all the time during storms. The most important part of the article is the impact in Florida, so I don't want to overload details in the lede. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- Also about the damage toll, change the $230 million (2001 USD) in the infobox to "At least $230 million (2001 USD)", because there was "several million dollars in damage" in Canada.
- Fair point. I added a > sign. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- "However, increased wind shear diminished the convection, and Gabrielle weakened" - This is rather contradictory to what you said a few sentences earlier ("Despite strong amounts of wind shear, Gabrielle intensified to attain hurricane status"). Was there a further increase in wind shear since then or did it not take its toll on Gabrielle until September 18?
- The latter. I changed to "Increased wind shear eventually diminished", keeping in line with the discussion. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- For the Preparations, you don't mention when the watches and warnings were discontinued; this should especially be fixed for the watches and warnings by the National Hurricane Center.
- Ehh, I rarely do that in articles. I think it's an editor's choice, and I don't find it particularly interesting or important. It's only warnings, nothing that special. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- In the second paragraph of the Bermuda and Canada section, there five consecutive sentences that start with the word "The".
- Fixed. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- "Hurricane force wind gusts canceled flights" - Hmm, hurricane force winds can cancel plane flights on their own? Reword that to: "Hurricane force wind gusts caused the cancellation of flights".
- KK. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- "the Federal Emergency Management Agency declared seven Florida counties as disaster areas" - Which seven counties were declared a disaster area?
- I didn't think it was that important, seeing as there isn't anything special about the counties that were included. Do you think it's necessary to add?--♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- Add the specific dates for the discussion from the NHC, which includes reference #2-16 and #20.
- Oops, good call. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:37, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- When I click on the link for reference #21, I am redirected here: [1].

- The URL for reference #31 is a deadlink.

- Alright, everything seems good enough to pass. So, this is a GA as of now.--12george1 (talk) 20:11, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
