Hello Hurricanehink, I am gonna be reviewing this article today.--12george1 (talk) 21:22, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "The seventh tropical cyclone, sixth named storm" - Wikilink tropical cyclone naming?
- Sure. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Although it was initially a tropical depression, it strengthened into Tropical Storm Felix later that day." - Why are you using "it" twice in the same sentence? Also, what is "it"? The Atlantic Ocean? :P
- I didn't write the lede :P --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Felix passed only 75 miles (121 km) southeast of Bermuda." - Round that to 120 km
- "It accelerated east-northeastward, and passed a short distance offshore of Newfoundland, where it transitioned into an extratropical storm on August 22." - Again, don't use "it" twice in the same sentence.
- Changed. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Near-hurricane force winds in Bermuda, downed trees and power lines" - What's with the comma?
- Again, didn't write it :/ --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Damage from rough seas in the United States totaled to $132,000 (1995 USD)." - Are you gonna leave a note that all damage tolls are in 1995 USD? If not, I could make an exception and let you leave the damage tolls the way they are, since there aren't very many of them in the article.
- I'll leave them, yea. I don't have a note field for anything else. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "the hurricane passed about 75 mi (121 km) south of Bermuda," - Round that to 120 km
- Fixed. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "60 to 80 mi (97 to 130 km) in diameter," - Round 97 km to 100 km
- "The warnings were discontinued after the hurricane bypassed the island." - State the date when this occurred
- I tweaked it. I mentioned downgrading to TS warning, but since both happened to two different days, I didn't include it deliberately. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "A tropical storm watch was later issued for Bermuda late in Felix's duration when it was drifting offshore the eastern United States." - Ditto
- Added. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Little River, South Carolina to Chincoteague, Virginia, the Pamlico and Albemarle sounds, and southern portions of the Chesapeake Bay." - This would probably read better if you added "including" or "which included" following the comma after Virginia.
- Agreed. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- " to near Manasquan, New Jersey including the Chesapeake" - Comma after New Jersey.
- "200,000 people left the island chain,[12] including 125,000 in Dare County." - Which state is Dare County in? Hopefully not a state of Confusion :P
- Clarified where Outer Banks were :P --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Some people in Virginia Beach, Virginia also evacuated voluntarily." - Maybe add a comma after Virginia (state)?
- Eh, don't think it's needed. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "The loss of tourism revenue was estimated at $1.2 million in Currituck County alone,[14] Evacuation orders were dropped and shelters were closed as the storm moved away.[15]" - Something isn't right here. End of discussion! Period. :P
- Reordered o.O --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "reaching as far south as Georgia and as far north as Maine." - Wikilink Maine
- Fine. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- "although extensive beach erosion after a week of strong waves;" - Missing a word?
- I it. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- You don't really have to do this, but are there any storms similar to Felix that you could add to the See also section?
- Added Edouard :) --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:49, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
