Hupia

On the matter of what the Tainos believed as to the Hupia (Ghost Spirit), the Taino never believed in the concept and idea of death as they believed in passing of the human spirit and a hereafter life. The Spanish historians and writers of the time however gave their own bias interpretation based upon their own Catholic Christian ideas and or concepts of Death and the soul of the humans going to some place they arrogantly call Heaven and then the soul awaiting a day of judgement by their God. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.72.64.91 (talk) 13:25, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Vampire

I don't see anything vampiric about this myth, perhaps it shouldn't be in the vampire category The Unbeholden (talk) 08:34, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Exactly, I've fixed that now. Simply being undead and abducting people doesn't qualify as being a vampire and the only hint of vampirism is the misuse of the term in a movie. --Ciaraleone (talk) 14:07, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
