Delete paragraph about Citizens Republic

I'm going to remove the paragraph in the first section that mentions the 2012 merger talks with Citizens Republic. The merger didn't happen, and at this point the incident is no longer relevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.149.92.177 (talk) 02:59, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

1866 ?

Huntington is made up of some Banks that I know are older than 1866. First National Bank of Zanesville dates to 1863. Unizan which is the successor to FNB Zanesville used the date 1848. John5Russell3Finley (talk) 14:13, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

The article talks about Huntington's founding date, not any legacy banks that Huntington later acquired. For instance, First Western Bank, which was based in New Castle, Pennsylvania, was founded in the 1850's. That bank would become one of Sky Financial Group's first acquisitions, and is obviously part of Huntington now. Jgera5 (talk) 06:23, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
