Split
This article was created as a split from the skin article. Old discussions about human skin can be found on Talk:Skin. i thing it is cool — Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.3.123.70 (talk) 16:35, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
Diseases
I shortened the section on diseases, because it only mentioned two specific diseases (albinism and leucoderma). What makes these two conditions special enough to warant their inclusion in this section. I think a real section on diseases should contain some kind of classification of diseases with links to their own wiki pages.Rubybrian (talk)
Questions
- I have been looking everywhere for the truth: exactly how much dead skin is on a person at one time, and how much do they shed in a year? I've read everything from half a pound up to nine pounds, but I can't find any reliable sources. If anyone can find an dadd this information, that would be very helpful. 70.20.39.173 (talk) 22:58, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Skin renewal
I've heard that a 3 hour period, from 10pm-1am or 11pm-2am, is the time when skin cell renewal and regeneration is greatest during sleep. Is this true? Are there any medical studies showing evidence for it? If it's true, which one is the right period? 10pm-1am or 11pm-2am? Wsmss (talk) 22:56, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Style
I changed "Oxyhemoglobin: Also found in blood and is not a pigment of the skin. It develops a red color." to "Oxyhemoglobin: It is also found in blood and is not a pigment of the skin. It develops a red color." (section Pigments) and I got changed back. Maybe someone can explain to me why the first version is stylistically better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Howeworth (talk • contribs) 16:06, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
pH
Would be good to include the pH of the skin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.229.218.35 (talk) 10:34, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Woman's foot in Myanmar
What is the reason for the different color shades? Is this a medical problem? A result of prolonged work in the field? Perhaps a cosmetic preference? Etan J. Tal(talk) 07:19, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
Largest organ in the human body
Should this article say near the beginning of the article that skin is the largest organ in the human body? Vorbee (talk) 19:25, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
