Older than Elfreth's Alley?
[edit]I'd always heard that Elfreth's Alley in Philadelphia was the oldest street in the U.S.…any clarification on whether this one predates it? Critic9328 18:27, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wouldn't the oldest street be in the oldest city, St. Augustine? I guess it's dependent on what the definition of 'oldest' is. Oldest still in use, oldest first built, etc. My two pence. :) -Ebyabe 18:49, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

First Huguenot dwellings in New Paltz.
[edit]Greetings - As I understand it, the Huguenot families originally lived in crude dwellings dug half-way into the ground before they built those beautiful stone houses. If I remember correctly, there's a reproduction of this dwelling included on Historic Huguenot Street. I don't remember what they are called. If any of you has information on this aspect of Huguenot history in New Paltz, please include it. Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 03:53, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
