[edit]Several badly-written and inadequately sourced articles on this topic have been created in the past by equally badly-behaved editors and have had to be deleted. F/A-18C Mock-up was deleted on 21 February 2017 following AfD discussion. A later re-creation of the deleted article at F/A-18C Mock-up MAGO was also AfD'ed and a much shortened version merged on 16 November 2017 into McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. Reason on both occasions was lack of sufficient notability demonstrated by the sources. The merged content has since shrunk even further to only a few lines that make a mockery of the idea that any significant content has in all honesty been "merged". F/A-18C Maquette was a recent and short-lived recreation of a deleted version.
I believe that this topic is in fact notable and have drafted this improved article, with particular attention to improving the sourcing. The most recent discussion about all this, embracing the reason for deleting the latest attempt above, is archived here. Previous criticisms have claimed this system to be run-of-the-mill but have never identified any relevant system of remotely equivalent sophistication. In the latest discussion I challenged them to come up with such examples but still none were produced. There is now support for my stance expressed by a previous critic here.
Hence, now that the original aggravations have hopefully cooled off a bit, I am submittinged my latest draft for review once again. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 17:22, 28 October 2018 (UTC) (updated archive link & status, — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 13:12, 24 November 2018 (UTC))
- @Steelpillow: I think I am the bringer of bad news: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/FFA P-16. The Banner talk 22:02, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up, but I am not sure why this is bad news? The guy may be a poor-quality editor, notorious puppeteer and long banned, but this article has been fully researched and (re)written, principally by myself, and passed peer review in Draft space before being moved here. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 06:22, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- copy userpage across to draft space, so as not to drag page history with it So you were well aware of its chequered past. The Banner talk 09:32, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- Non sequitur. Also wholly irrelevant; this talk page is for discussing the article not its editors. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 12:02, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Why no link to an video Clip in English about this "aircraft"?
[edit]Why should this not be in the article? It is about this Hugo Wolf F/A-18C simulator. Reason? 193.5.216.100 (talk) 16:39, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- I confess that I did not stop to think very hard before I reverted you, I owe you an apology for following the bot so equally mindlessly. I then had second thoughts about YouTube links, so I went to the Aircraft WikiProject talk page and opened a discussion there, which you might like to join. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 17:23, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
