Death of Huges de Brienne / Hugh of Brienne, and the battle!
[edit]Perhaps this article would look more complete if you were attack a real link to the Battle of Gagliano, which is located at; http://forum.stirpes.net/middle-ages/6508-almogavars-james-i-peter-iii-catalonia-aragon.html ! As well as a few other sites, such as ;http://www.berenguerderocafort.com/devils.htm
Perhaps some mention might well be made of the fact that Hugh/Hugues de Brienne, was reportedly captured by the Catalans/Almogavars twice before finally dispatching him and his 299 Knights at Gagliano! As well Walter/Gautier V de Brienne, was also dispatched by the Catalans/Almogavars in Greece!, loosing about 300 Frankish knights in this battle. By the way, just what do you think of the odds of this happening? Reportedly Hugh called his group by a very specific name (the Knights of Death), and the number of those lost is one of those strange groups numbering about 300! Just compare these events with others, like the Spartans, and the Romans events including the loss of about 300 on the same day, possibly. 69.92.23.64 (talk) 19:17, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Ronald L.
