@2A02:8429:838E:EC01:6491:AC7B:317F:4CBB I know this is an older comment but she was born, raised and educated in the US and is no less an American citizen than any other first, second or fifth generation American. Shana3980 (talk) 18:35, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the multiple tags applied

[edit]

I am the person who created this article. The subject is a famous person with enough notability for an article. I have no connection whatsoever to the subject, so there is no conflict of interest. All of the text is backed up by sources, so there is nothing in the article of a promotional nature. Therefore, I am removing the tags from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lupine453 (talkcontribs) 02:24, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article is based almost entirely on what the subject has said about herself. I have restored the tags. Maproom (talk) 08:53, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really feel like all of them were warranted. I put the COI one back in, but the "written like an advertisement" one seemed a bit overkill, and it didn't even seem like it was to me (but it might be a borderline case). I'm used to that one being applied to articles more like this or this. A lad insane talk 00:30, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I already said I have no conflict of interest. What part of that is hard to understand? And as for the claim that the article is based on what the subject had said of herself, I suggest reading the sources themselves. Lupine453 (talk) 01:42, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Arab

[edit]

Hi i have a question, why in the lead sentence her name is written in arab even though she was born in the us ? Indira333 (talk) 12:26, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indira333, I saw you question on the MoS noticeboard. The answer to your question would simply be that if there is some useful purpose to the arabic name - that she has been written about in Arabic to a significant degree, which might help a reader, or if she herself uses the Arabic publicly, then there would be a good reason to include. Otherwise there isn't. There is a tendency to include names in the script of a person's ethnicity on WP, even when it serves no useful purpose - sometimes this appears to be done to 'own' a famous person sometimes it appears to be to 'disown' an infamous one. Either way it is pointless IMO. Pincrete (talk) 11:46, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
