Untitled
[edit]Apparently the image (rear view) of Huber Matos is now allowed to be shown in Cuba [1]. The photograph can be seen at the end of [2], one can see what are probably the "clips" ammunition chargers of Mato's Beretta submachine gun. El Jigue 1-10-07
Conspiracy
[edit]This article puts in information of Cienfuegos disappearance, insinuating conspiracy. It is unfounded. The one conspiracy that is founded is that Matos was a traitor, collaberating with a foreign government, namely the CIA in the run up to the Bay of Pigs invasion. Counterintelligence on the CIA concluded that Huber Matos was working in conjunction with persons such as Tony Varona, Carlos Prio, and Manuel Artime with the plans for a counter-revolution organised by the Central Intelligence Agency under Frank Sturgis.
Why is THIS not mentioned in the article?
Furthermore, it was not simply letters, but Matos made public denunciations of the revolution in July 1959 in Camagüey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.118.64.181 (talk) 14:34, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Camilo Cienfuegos
[edit]Some people hint at foul play by either Castro or Matos, but most historians agree it was probably an accident.
This statement needs a citation. It should also probably be included in the article about Camilo Cienfuegos. --KG (talk) 00:18, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
