[edit]Doesnt anyone have any more information on Hoyt, it seems a shame he's mostly remembered (at least on the net) for influencing someone else.

Removing Navy and Air Force Recognition Training
[edit]I'm removing the references to Hoyt L. Sherman's work being used to train WW2 Soldiers and Sailors in Aircraft Recognition using tachistoscopic flashes. Sorry, but the historical record doesn't support that. It was Professor Samuel Renshaw also of Ohio State University who designed the original training program. https://web.archive.org/web/20220906034918/https://medium.com/nc-stories-of-service/enemy-or-foe-wwii-u-s-aircraft-recognition-slides-and-manuals-8037d3b4994f There's also no reference cited for Sherman's "camouflage room" so that's removed as well until someone can provide a reference.
