[edit]The claim that this train is the fastest diesel hauled train is incorrect. It covers the total distance of 1122 kms in 16 hrs 5 mins giving it an average of 69.76 km/hr. The Pune - Secunderabad Shatabdi which is also fully hauled on diesel power covers a total distance of 1194 kms in 16 hrs 55 mins giving it an average of 70.58 km/hr. Both calculations have been made inclusive of all halts for the sake of parity.
Thus, the Pune - Secunderabad Shatabdi must be considered the fastest diesel hauled Shatabdi Express.
