Young Avenger
[edit]"For rival Timely Comics, the 1940s forerunner of Marvel Comics, Purcell drew the only appearance of the superhero the Young Avenger, in U.S.A. Comics #1 (Aug. 1941), under the pseudonym Michael Robard.[1]"
I removed this based on Vassallo's introduction to Marvel Masterworks: Golden Age U.S.A. Comics vol. 1, in which he says that Michael Robard was a pseudonym of Mike Roy, not Howard Purcell, whose work on this story he says is a conjecture from Jerry Bails's Who's Who in American Comics that still managed to make it to the table of contents page of that same volume.--Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 18:46, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
