1920 was a leap year
[edit]It seems that 1920 was a leap year. Nemerov was born on February 29th of this weird year.
- I forgot to add my name to the above leap year comment. Michael David 19:44, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have changed his birthdate to February 29. He wrote a poem in 1980 "The Author to His Body on Their Fifteenth Birthday 29ii80". I think this is an adequate source for the information. Unless we are to believe he was lying about his date of birth. For that I would want documentation otherwise. Gavroche42 (talk) 13:57, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
Clarification on Air Force service
[edit]What is "the Royal Canadian unit of the U.S. Army Air Forces"? Doesn't this simply mean that Nemerov was originally with the RCAF and then transferred to the AAF? PhD 02:49, 9 December 2006 (UTC)PhD
- I fixed it based on info here http://library.wustl.edu/units/spec/manuscripts/mlc/nemerov/nemerov.html. PhD 14:32, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Poem Text
[edit]The text of the non-short poem should not be listed in an article as described in the WP:Style, but in this case it is doubly so, since the article is about a poet, not a poem. I will remove the text, and please feel free to voice any concerns here before reverting.Mrathel (talk) 20:47, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
