COI tag (September 2021)
[edit]I am placing the COI tag following this post from the article creator on my talk page (the page I am trying to create for Howard Fields (at his request)
); I am not convinced by the follow-up message that "at his request" was a typo. In its current state, the article is an entirely unreferenced BLP, including the "Research" section which seems to contain some promotional wording derived from Fields's academic biography. Hello,
Please remove citation source template. They are being added as I edit the page. Thank you.
Also, remove COI, please. English is not my first language and it was bad phrasing on my part. I don't know him and am not getting paid for it. It's an assignment. "Promotional wording" has been rewritten and continues to be edited per suggestions from admin to rewrite. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DGranados0809 (talk • contribs) 16:45, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- @DGranados0809: You uploaded File:Howard L. Fields.jpg and specified that the source was your "own work". Did you take this photo yourself? DanCherek (talk) 16:59, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
I took it with my phone off the computer screen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DGranados0809 (talk • contribs) 17:18, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- Can you provide the source of the image? What website did you take a picture of with your phone? (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this:

From a youtube lecture. Paused the screen around minute 13 or so and snapped it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7hrYwFqrLU&t=636s But I think i understand that something will be flagged because I did that? DGranados0809 (talk) 18:08, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, that is a copyright violation because the video is not compatibly licensed. I have tagged it for speedy deletion at Commons. DanCherek (talk) 18:13, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
