Eves's nationallity - a German?!
[edit]Dr. Eves was born in New Jersey, 1911. Could he be a "German mathematician"? Perhaps "from German parents", at most... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sudastelaro (talk • contribs) 19:35, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
A Biographical Note on Eve
[edit]My uncle had this man as a teacher at the University of Maine Machias for Freshman mathematics, which included truth tables and some geometry, as well as a little trig. He compliments Eves on his ability to teach lower levels of math despite his genius in the higher levels of the subject. He also emphasized Eves' pride at being a friend of "Al"- Albert Einstein.
IAS and Einstein?
[edit]For now I've commented out the assertion that he was at some point at the Institute for Advanced Study and that he knew Albert Einstein. That is not corroborated by this web site. Michael Hardy (talk) 22:49, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
