I found a redlink to Howard Bishop and it seemed to me that the most positive solution to this was to create a Wikipedia article for the actor. When it became apparent that he had featured as more than just a walk-on extra in some other films, it seemed to further justify such action. However, my attention is now drawn to the guidelines on notability. Which, for actors, says the following:

Entertainers... Actors, voice actors, comedians, opinion makers, models, and celebrities:

1. Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions.

2. Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.

3. Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.

Now, I'm not aware of HB qualifying under items 2 or 3, but he can't be too far short of being there for criterion number 1. Which I note is somewhat subjective. How are we defining 'multiple', 'notable', and 'significant'? If the latter is 'more than just a walk-on extra' and 'multiple' is 'more than 1', then I am left with 'notable'. And since I straight away found 4 of his appearances which had been considered worthy to be documented with Wikipedia articles, I am tempted to contend that perhaps they have at least some level of 'notability'.

On the other hand, one could adopt a more puritanical approach and ban all items relating to fictional entertainment from mention in Wikipedia... and indeed, as I dig deeper for material, so I seem to find productions which seem ever shallower; however I'm not feeling overly inclined to be judgemental...Yadsalohcin (talk) 19:47, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
