- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 14:17, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- I believe that that has been added now. Thank you. The issue, I believe, is that YouTube themselves have not confirmed it, which was a similar situation to Badshah's release last year, putting into question the legitimacy of some of the views. There is no doubt that this is the most views in 24 hours, but there is some doubt as to how many of them YouTube recognise as legitimate. Perhaps we need to have 2 lists, one for legitimate and one for total? 58.179.159.63 (talk) 20:21, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Most likes?
[edit]I read that this video clip also holds the record for the fastest to 10 million YouTube likes (2 days). Is that a record worth mentioning anywhere? The next fastest is 34 days, so it was significantly faster. 58.179.159.63 (talk) 08:40, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Also fastest to 11 million likes, but that probably isn't significant. But the fastest to 10 million likes isn't just the fastest by a music video - it is the fastest by any video on YouTube. The next-fastest by a non-music video was 4 days. 58.179.159.63 (talk) 00:28, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
I had this reverted, making a mockery of the request for sources. They just broke the record for fastest to 200 million views too, breaking Taylor Swift's record for Look What You Made Me Do by more than 12 hours. 58.179.159.63 (talk) 09:52, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
Add a controversy of this song
[edit]Somebody add a controversy that is Hindu Deity Ganesha on the floor at Lisa's solo scene. Some Indian(s) were blinked to this scene and later the YG entertainment create new version of this song without Lord Ganesha on the floor. The source of this detail are koreaboo.com, kpoppost.com, pinkvilla.com and others. Just search at search engine as "Blackpink disrespecting (Lord) Ganesha". If Blackpink and/or its fan(s) dislike this infamous detail don't add it. Flankbed (talk) 00:48, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- Done – Do take note though that Koreaboo is not a reliable source, and I could care less if fans get mad at this being added as Wikipedia is not a fansite. Nahnah4 (talk | contribs) 08:05, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
I understand the note. Next time I will keep eye on are from news only. Flankbed (talk) 15:22, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
Number 1s not included
[edit]It has been confirmed in numerous sources that the song has reached number 1 throughout most of Asia, including Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar and more than a dozen others.
Wikipedia, however, does not have any "reliable sources" for most of these and the most reliable ones available are not allowed to be used by Wikipedia guidelines.
Thailand, for example, uses JOOX, and JOOX is only visible for people within Thailand, and attempts to use their publicly-viewable version, via JOOX's official Facebook page have been consistently reverted.
This song has reached number 1 in over 20 countries around the world, but we are only recording a fraction of them.
We are also refusing to put its official position in China, which is number 3.
Can Wikipedia put some agreement on their BADCHARTS page so that each country has a method that Wikipedia accepts to be used, one that we can refer to.
I note that someone erroneously removed the number 3 chart for Brazil, before now being correctly re-included.
Similarly, someone erroneously removed the number 1 chart for Malaysia, before now being correctly re-included.
Thailand, at minimum, should be included, as JOOX's official site states that it is currently the number 1 song in Thailand (for the second week), and, as JOOX is the official chart for Thailand, according to Wikipedia, there is no justification to not including it here. 58.179.159.63 (talk) 10:49, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
I see that a vandalised version of the page has now been made, that excludes Thailand's official number 1, and it has been locked from editing. I mean... 58.179.159.63 (talk) 22:37, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
While this is a combination of Wikipedia's incomplete policies that exclude many countries (such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar etc) from having official charts, it is also an issue of vandalism being authorised on this page, in this case by excluding verified charts for Thailand, which Wikipedia have confirmed. It is inappropriate for Wikipedia to keep a vandalised version of this page locked. I request that at minimum the Thailand official charts be included before it is locked. The disruptive editing was not by me - it was by the person who removed the accurate charts. 58.179.159.63 (talk) 22:40, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
List of records charts
[edit]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_record_charts
Under Thailand it says
Thailand Top 100 by JOOX
That is the only recognised music chart for Thailand.
This single has been number 1 in Thailand for the past 3 weeks, according to the official JOOX charts.
Please can someone add it
Of note, this song is number 1 right throughout South-East Asia.
Whatever are the official charts for each country should be used, instead of being deleted from the page.
Of note, my earlier addition about Malaysia was removed, only for someone else to re-add it.
The aggressive removal, assuming bad faith, hurts this article.
Please can we stop doing that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.179.159.63 (talk) 10:49, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Usage in media
[edit]Please see WP:SONGTRIVIA regarding the necessity of this section. As it currently stands, the song appearing in the trailer is trivial at best and not worth mentioning simply because it was used. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:10, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
