Merge
[edit]Given the relative absence of information about this song and its limited release, its looking like it will never grow beyond a stub! Can i suggest per WP:NMUSIC it is merged into the parent album Tomahawk Technique. Charting aside there's a distinct lack of information that warrants an independent article. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 14:56, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
Genre 'Sourcing'
[edit]You cannot undo a revision basing it off a principle yet ignoring the principle when you see fit (why do you need a source for it being classified as 'reggae fusion' but yet there is no source for why it is classified as 'pop'). The song contains elements of dancehall and pop (predominantly pop but still) hence by definition, it would therefore also be classified under the genre of reggae fusion.
1. The genre of a song is subjective at best. You cannot source something such as that. And a source is not the be all and end all. If an artiste makes a 'rock' song but says in interviews that he classifies it as 'rap', do we therefore put the genre as 'rap', even though the song does not fall under that genre, simply because the artiste says it's a rap song?
2. Even if sourcing a reference to the specific genre of the song was absolutely necessary, no reference has been put for why it is classified as 'pop'. Since there is no reference for that, should we therefore remove that as well? Exactly, read up on the genre before you simply remove it because it wasn't sourced. The song falls under what is considered 'reggae fusion' (a mixing of elements of dancehall/reggae with other genres). Sean Paul's heavy use of Jamaican dialect (patios) is the cornerstone element of a dancehall/reggae song. What makes this a fusion is that he used a pop instrumental/beat as the framework of the song. --Sixpacz (talk) 08:20, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
