This is essentially just a stub. I believe there is ample justification for its existance, and I will be working to find sources and content for it. I could continue to write based on what I know, but that wouldn't be quite as constructive as simply compiling references first. Wbbigtymer 18:19, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need the citation notice for the statement about them being notorious? I think that's almost common knowledge everywhere. You seen New Orleans' murder rate in the last 13 years? I'm not opposed to putting a citation there, but it's almost one of those things where if you're going to do it, you might as well go all the way. I'm just afraid we'd need to literally have 20 links there, because that's what it would take to adaquitely qualify the claim, unless we just agree it doesn't need qualifying.Wbbigtymer 08:26, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider merger with New Orleans

[edit]

At the moment I don't learn an enormous amount in this article that would not fit into the main New Orleans article. Perhaps this article could be expanded, but is it really necessary? Most articles for cities around the world make do without having a separate article devoted entirely to their public housing. However, I do appreciate that there is much about New Orleans that makes it special and that readers will want to know, so I will not presume to formally propose merger.Itsmejudith 17:49, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not a Complete Article

[edit]

This "stub" deals not with the Housing Authority of New Orleans, but the decision to demolish certain developments. While this is certainly a topic for discussion, the Housing Authority of New Orleans manages units that are/were more than 60 years old. Furthermore, the article only cites reasons for opposing the demolition of the housing authority. The article seems to be promoting one side of history, and is therefore both controversial an inaccurate.Cpencik (talk) 23:06, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

Currently the St. Bernard and B.W.Cooper complexes are being demolished. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.135.177.252 (talk) 21:00, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wards

[edit]

There have been repeated edits over years changing the locations of multiple projects to incorrectly be in the 3rd_Ward_of_New_Orleans. Why? Where is this misinformation coming from? Boundaries of the Wards_of_New_Orleans are set by City law; where they are is a matter of geography and legislation, not opinion. Wondering, -- Infrogmation (talk) 02:09, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
