Supplier for dead sentence drugs
According to the Dutch NOS "Delayed Excecution" (Dutch) Hospira is the only supplier in the US for natriumthiopental, and supplier of the two other drugs used to kill people that got a death sentence in the USA. At the moment Hospira has shortage of raw material, therefore people in death row have to wait. Perhaps this is a useful addition to the article?--Frodo Muijzer (talk) 11:48, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
i was just going to make the same comment. but i guess some careful phrasing is neccessary by someone with some wikipedia experience. 91.62.0.21 (talk) 16:49, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- There is already a mention of this in the article but given the recent publicity (BBC article for example) there should be more coverage especially as the company is apparently (not surprisingly) not happy about their products being used in such a way. Why can't the company go through the courts to stop the government using its products to murder people?--77.222.13.47 (talk) 22:34, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- Because it sells it to them directly. As such it has the choice, its marketing team however would wish otherwise. 24.23.198.90 (talk) 03:16, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Addressing red flags
I saw this article needed more citations and more content. I've worked on the forward paragraph a bit, added citations and added a references section. We'll be working on this, adding more content, in the coming weeks. Acherubini2020 (talk) 20:43, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Update
I've been updating this page over the past month to address the red flags that were raised. Please see updated introduction, history section, profile, product list. Will be adding more in coming weeks. (Acherubini2020 (talk) 16:35, 28 January 2010 (UTC))
Further Update Needed
Please note in late 2009, the oral pharmaceutical group of Mayne Pharma was purchased from Hospira by HalcyGen Pharmaceuticals Ltd - see http://www.businessspectator.com.au/bs.nsf/Article/HalcyGen-transfers-distribution-rights-to-Mayne-Ph-YR4N5!OpenDocument&Src=rss&Click=#Scene_1 (Mirandatripodi (talk) 04:38, 15 July 2010 (UTC))
Update
Over the past few months, I’ve made significant edits to this article to address the advertisement and worldwide view tags, and have tried to make improvements against those tags. When you have a chance, please take a look at my recent revisions and edit history—I think that given these changes, we can remove these tags. I wanted to see if there was consensus before going ahead and doing that, however. Thoughts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acherubini2020 (talk • contribs) 20:57, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Update
I am making some more updates, as basic company information hadn't been updated in more than a year. So far, I've added the name of the company's new CEO, updated financial information for 2010, and added information on key acquisitions the company made in 2009 and 2010 that weren't included previously.
