Hosahudya the 15th most populous village, located in Bagepalli of Chikkaballapura district, Karnataka, India. The total geographical area of Hosahudya village is 9km2 and it is the 21st biggest village by area in sub District. Nearest town of the village is Bagepalli and distance from Hosahudya village to Bagepalli is 3km. The village has its own post office and the pin code of Hosahudya village is 561207. The village comes under Ghantamvaripalli Panchayat. The village has wider street roads earlier, now it's were Encroached half of the street roads by villagers. Recently Public Interested litigation case has failed in Bagepalli Court by Villager Manjunatha H K.

The village has a total of 419 families and a population of 1625, of which 813 are males while 812 are females as per Population Census 2011.

There are 205 children up to age six, which makes up 12.62 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Hosahudya village is 999 which is higher than Karnataka state average of 973. Child Sex Ratio for the Hosahudya as per census is 881, lower than Karnataka average of 948.

In 2011, literacy rate of Hosahudya village was 54.23 % compared to 75.36 % of Karnataka. In Hosahudya Male literacy stands at 65.06 % while female literacy rate was 43.58 %.

As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act, Hosahudya village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of village.

  • The village comes under Ghantamvaripalli Panchayat. -- I am unable to find a source for this
  • The village has wider street roads earlier, now it's were Encroached half of the street roads by villagers. -- perhaps this is original research, not sure where to find this or how it's very meaningful from an encyclopedic perspective
