[edit]Moved article back to correct name from hornfel, previous move was in error. Hornfels is the correct and widely used term - it is the singular form (read the article). Vsmith 03:38, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
Non-foliated
[edit]Isn't hornfels non-foliated? In the picture it looks like it is foliated... -- Annonymus User 1000 (talk) 10:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hornfels are unlikely to be foliated, but what we're seeing in the image is primary lithological banding - the pale layers were sandstones and the dark layers shales. I've expanded the description of the image - I hope that helps. Mikenorton (talk) 12:16, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
