A lot of the text in the article is taken verbatim from the litweb.net page listed in the "External links". Someone should do a substantial rewrite or the article will have to be deleted. CapnPrep 19:56, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did a rewrite, but I couldn't find a whole lot of english sources that weren't reprints of the litweb article. Still needs more work. I'll look at some Spanish sources later. If anyone sees any clunky syntax, feel free to correct, but this edit should take this article off the copyright violation burner. -steventity 21:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm currently in the process of rewriting this article by editing the translation of the spanish page done by google, though I'm not sure what to do about references. Verbafelix (talk) 19:34, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biased writing

[edit]

This isn’t written objectively at all and could use some serious editing to ensure objectivity. 38.101.84.246 (talk) 18:20, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could you elaborate, please?----Darius (talk) 20:40, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, a lot of this article seems like personal opinions with no citations. Look at the last paragraph:
"Sensitive, excitable, given to impossible love, thwarted in his commercial enterprises but still highly creative, Quiroga waded through his tragic life and suffered through nature to construct, with the eyes of a careful observer, narrative work that critics considered "autobiographical poetry". Perhaps it is this "internal realism" or the "organic" nature of his writing that created the irresistible draw that Quiroga continues to have on readers."
Seems like some subjective opinions about his life and speculation? Unfortunately I don't know enough to properly edit this, but maybe there is more objective language in the Spanish version of the article. Yassifying (talk) 03:49, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
